360 FEET OF TRACK AND ROADBED REMOVED FROM THE TELLURIDE BRANCH

AS THERE WERE NO TRAINS RUNNING UP THERE.

THE RAIL AND ROADBED WILL TO BE SOLD.  

 

New culvert installed past Placerville and grade to be shaped.

 

The Rio Grande Southern Train Yard is doing some track work and town

relocations between Placerville and Vance Junction.

 Track Work Is Now About 3212 Feet.

The Ridgway Yard and Engine Facility Has 345 Feet of Track Laid.

The Rico Yard and Engine facility Has 270 Feet of Track Laid.

Montrose Yard Has 72 Feet of Track Laid

The R.G.S. Main Line Measured 1810 Feet Laid.

There are 33 Sidings and Passing Tracks.

There will be 8 Water Towers.

There are 5 Wyes'.

(Ridgway, Dallas Divide, Placerville, Lizard Head, Rico).

A new connecting track is operational between Jays & Dallas Divide.

A new connecting track is operational between Matterhorn Mine & Lizard Head.

Total Track Laid So Far is 3212 Feet.

 Measured July 21 at 1:20 scale to be  5.78 miles of main line.
